Check out LYF_Connection every Sunday morning at the LYF Center. LYF_Connection is a great way to get connected with others in the LYF student ministry. We meet at both the 9:30am hour and 11am hour.
The campuses across the nation have become a mission field full of students who are on a journey towards meaning and fulfillment. Unfortunately their search leads them to harmful things such as sex, drugs, alcohol, partying, and popularity. While these things may provide some enjoyment at first, in the end, they lead to pain and disappointment. Our mission is to help our friends find meaning and fullfilment in Jesus Christ... the one who will not fail them.
Every week students gather at a host home located near their high school to engage each other relationally and encourage one another in their calling. Together, they come together to pray strategically for their friends who have not come into community with Christ. Utilizing a five friend focus, students are taking a proactive stance determined to reach specific friends that they pray for daily.
Being relationally based, C2 wants to encourage students to spend time with their peers in a safe and fun environment. Rather than asking them to simply come to a church service, we want our students to invite their friends into their lives much like when Christ took His disciples to the wedding at Cana.
We want to be the welcome mat for the kingdom. Our purpose is to show students that Jesus is not just found within the walls of a church building, but that He is alive and well on their campus. We want students to see Him for what He is, not what religious people think He is. We want people to see the real Jesus Christ and this is what makes our Joy complete (1 John 1:4)
