The next stage in the spiritual development process is to grow your faith and become mature in Christ through discipleship communities. Paul challenges us to not remain babies in our faith but to move on to the deeper truths and become mature followers of Christ. Time in the word, prayer, accountability, scripture memory; each of these areas is a key component LYF focues on to help students go deeper in their faith.

In my small group, my friends and I were going through a really tough time. We were doing our best to grow together in God but it seemed some issues were getting in the way and after a really big fight one night, I went home thinking we might just have to split up our group. That night I had my quite time as usual and I prayed to God for some help, I had barely started when I saw a small box my dad kept in college that was full of bible verses. I opened the box and there on the very top was a verse that applied directly to our situation.
This summer Christ has been displaying His faithfulness in my life, and in more than one instance too. His only requirement of me is that I trust in His perfect will for my life. One such case occured recently while I was attending cheer camp. As the top person of my stunt group I'm required to be fearless when it comes to heights, and I always thought that I was. But just when my team was truly relying on this stunt to go up for our routine, I suddenly couldn't do it.
