A final stage in the spiritual development process is learning how to lead others and influence your culture for the cause of Christ. Our goal is to challenge and equip students to move beyond a self-focus to sharing the good news of Jesus with those students in their sphere of influence. We want every student to develop a missionary vision to see their friends as God sees them - people who need a Savior. Through leading D_groups participating in outreach events and C2 campus groups our students are challenged to move into leadership and become influencers for Christ.
The LYF student ministry is a huge part of my life, and has really helped me grow in my faith and my spiritual walk. The past few years I have really gotten plugged into the ministry by serving on ministry teams, such as coffee shop and band. Through becoming more involved, I realized that I needed to not only give my time to ministry teams, but that, more importantly, I should be giving my time to help younger kids grow in their walk with christ. I made the decision to become a D_Group leader and I got a group of 6th grade girls.
So our Dulles C2 group has been so amazing. We have been praying over our campus on Wednesday mornings before school with other believers from our school. And then we get to bring our friends Wednesday nights. Because of C2 we have seen 3 people make the biggest decisions of there life and decide to follow the LORD! (GOD IS SOOOO GOOD) But I challange you, even if there isn't a C2 group at your school yet, pray for your school. Pray constantly. Maybe find a class room at school that you can use in the mornings and pray with other believers at your school.
