Parents- As parents, the primary responsibility of our son/daughter’s discipleship rests in our hands. It is not something we can abdicate to any teacher, coach, youth leader or media outlet. In such regards, it is our desire that LYF be a place where parents are actively involved in the ministry that goes on. You as a parent are the number one influence in the life of your son/daughter. Even though they may not admit it or you may not see evidence of it, this is truth. The question is how are you influencing them? Our desire is to be a tool in your hands. Our passion is to see your student’s relationship with God, you and others around them to grow during their time in LYF. If you have an interest in helping within the ministry, we would love to talk with you. We need host homes for our C2 groups, parents who desire to coordinate prayer efforts and even conduct prayer meetings with parents. Maybe you have a bunch of time on your hands and can help us out administratively at the office or you want to lead a D_Group. All we ask is that you make sure that first and foremost, discipleship is happening in your home with your kids. That is your first and primary ministry. Past that, the sky is the limit and we would love to have your help and involvement. Regardless of whether you are involved simply with your family at home or with us in a more formal sense, remember that these are your teens. Involvement in their lives is not an option, it is a responsibility. Be involved.
